A Butler graduate is now joining a famous military band.
Staff Sgt. Jacob Cypher was recently named to the “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.
Cypher was a graduate of Butler in 2015 and attended Duquesne University where he earned a bachelor in music.
He then spent time in audio-visual support for live entertainment events.
Cypher will handle recording engineering for various Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra concerts. He’ll also be responsible for preserving the band’s recorded archive collections.
