The Butler Area School District is receiving state grant money to help students learn about agriculture.
The Department of Agriculture announced at the PA Farm Show that the district will receive $7,500 as part of the Ag and Youth Grant Program. This is the maximum amount that does not require matching funds.
The money will go toward expanding agriculture programming across the district.
This funding is part of over $600,000 awarded statewide to realize over 60 projects in 33 counties.
