The Butler baseball team defeated Chambersburg 3-2 Thursday in the Class 6A quarterfinals. Senior pitcher Nolan Stefaniak threw a three-hitter and struck out nine. Mavrik Clement drove in Boden Lenyk with the game-winning run in the seventh inning. It is the third game out of five post-season games this season that the Golden Tornado have won with a run in the final inning. Clement went 3-for-4 in the game. Stefaniak and Blake Scott drove in runs for Butler.
Butler will now meet Owen J. Roberts in the state semifinals Monday.
