The Pennsylvania State Troopers Association and the Troopers Helping Troopers organization are helping to present a charity hockey game scheduled for this Sunday (Sept 11th) at UPMC Lemieux Center starting at 8am.
Teams playing will be active members of the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, Pittsburgh Police, Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire and the Pittsburgh Warriors.
The Pennsylvania State Troopers Association members will be playing a feature game against the Butler Varsity Ice hockey team.
The event is being held to raise money for Kamden Walker. A 4year old child who was diagnosed with an extremely rare disease known as OMS (Opsoclonus Myoclonus Ataxia Syndrome) at 20 months old.
Kamdens mother is a school teacher within the Butler Area School District and Kamdens father is employed by Butler County.
The games start at 8am and will conclude with the last being played at 12:25. There will be silent auctions and Chinese auction items. There is no admission to get into the games at the UPMC LEMIEUX COMPLEX, however donations can be made at the door however.
A few sponsors for this event include PSECU, Troopers Helping Troopers Foundation and the Penguins Foundation.
