The repair work at the Butler City Building is nearly complete.
As a result of a bust water pipe nearly a month ago, Council has held their December meetings in the Redevelopment Authority office, which is located in the Tier Parking Garage on West Cunningham Street.
According to Mayor Bob Dandoy, cleanup work is still ongoing but is getting close to being done. Some plumbing work has been able to take place in the walls with drains installed in the second-floor bathroom. The city has also had the air quality of the building checked but the cost of the repairs is still not known.
The City Building remains closed for the time being but it is expected that the meeting to swear in new members on Monday, January 5th will be able to take place in Council Chambers.
