As part of Monday’s City Council meeting, members of council received new areas of responsibility and committee assignments.
Mike Walter will remain as director of accounts and finance for the city. New council member Bob Dandoy takes over as director of public safety.
Jeff Smith will continue to oversee parks and recreation. Kenny Bonus remains in charge of the streets department.
Council also made a couple of minor changes to members who are liaisons to local authorities and boards. Jeff Smith requested and received an appointment as liaison to the Butler Sewer Authority. Councilman Smith was also named as the liaison to the City’s Shade Tree Commission given his role as Director of Parks.
