A local group is giving Butler City residents a chance to care for new street trees.
The Butler City Shade Tree Commission Adopt a Tree Program is looking for interested residents with a minimum of four feet planting area between their sidewalk and the curb.
Educational demonstrations with members and the group’s arborist will be made available covering topics such as choosing the proper shade tree for a site, preparation of the site, and tree planting aftercare.
Acceptance to this program will be on a first come, first served basis. Contact the Butler Shade Tree Commission by phone or email for more information.
