Butler County is celebrating the local 4H chapter this week.
County commissioners proclaimed this 4H Week, which is supporting the local youth organization.
4H focuses on a variety of activities, including agriculture, civic, STEM education, and more.
In Butler, there are 300 individuals that participate in the organization according to 4H Director Amy Metrick.
“We love to empower kids. We love to saying we’re growing great kids in Butler County,” Metrick said. “We are truly blessed because we have great kids and great volunteers.”
Anyone interested in 4H can learn more through the Penn State Extension website.
