Butler County was recently dropped from the drought watch list.
According to the Department of Environmental Protection, Butler was one of 47 counties across the state to have the drought watch lifted.
Surrounding counties like Mercer, Armstrong, Lawrence, and Allegheny all had their watches lifted too.
Many of the 20 counties still on the list are in eastern and central Pennsylvania—however neighboring Venango and Clarion Counties are still on the list.
