Butler County Commissioners officially approved the 2025 budget.
The total budget was just over $257 million; that number includes retirement, human services, and other costs. The general fund budget was approved at $81.4 million—which is up 3 percent from last year.
There were no new taxes in the county budget.
Commissioners say the county remains in good financial health, citing a high tax collection rate and growing population.
