Butler County is getting a new company to handle the IT systems at the 911 center.
The county approved a three-year contract with Mission Critical Partners to provide IT support to the 911 center.
Emergency Service officials say the software and systems at the 911 center are extremely complex and having a dedicated IT company is necessary, especially with ongoing threats targeting emergency service organizations.
The funding for the contract will in part come from a 911 fee that’s associated with phone bills.
