Local residents could soon see the impact of recently awarded state grant money for work on parks and recreation.
Cranberry Township will receive $265,000 for rehabilitation and further development of Community Park including renovation of basketball and volleyball courts; construction of pedestrian walkway; installation of fencing; ADA access, and landscaping.
Also, Butler County has been awarded $79,000 to prepare a Comprehensive Recreation, Park and Open Space Plan for the county including an electronic written report.
Nearly 300 projects are being funded through about $82 million in DCNR grants and local matches.
