Butler County and the Area Agency on Aging are receiving high marks from state leaders for their handling of the COVID-19 vaccination process.
Secretary of Aging Robert Torres spoke yesterday at a press conference.
“Butler County Area Agency on Aging has been helping older adults with scheduling vaccination appointments through their local hospital healthcare system,” Torres said. “They have helped over 1,200 older adults get appointments and have also helped arrange transportation when needed.”
Torres also said that this is a perfect example of how other counties can utilize their aging agencies in assisting with vaccine distribution.
“Butler’s story in inspiring, and while it may be unique, it is worth sharing as a success story,” Torres said.
