A brother and sister from Butler County are receiving recognition after winning a statewide competition.
Lucie and Dominic Richter were recently named the winners of the PennDOT Innovations Challenge. The siblings are students at the Reach Cyber Academy.
The contest challenges students to develop an innovative idea that would help increase safety on the roads.
The Richters innovation was called “Young Influencers” and it focused on a social media campaign that would help encourage young people to buckle up.
The Richters were awarded $6,000 for winning.
