The Butler County Sports Hall of Fame will induct its 55th Class in April. 10 individuals and one team will be honored this year.
The inductees include: Shawn Bellis, Jake Benton, Olivia Bresnahan, Dave Crummy, Jack Hartung, Joe Heitzer, Don Hinchberger, Bill McElroy and Tyrell Sales. Fred Powell will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award – and the 1972 Karns City Boys Basketball team, who were the runner-up in the PIAA tournament that season, will be inducted.
The event will be held Saturday, April 25th at the Butler Days Inn. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door and tables of eight are $200. Tickets are available at Parker Appliance in Chicora, Saxonburg Drug, Moses Jewelers at the Clearview Mall and the Butler Radio Network.
