As winter continues and many people struggle in a variety of ways during the pandemic, local residents have the opportunity to show someone appreciation.
The Butler Health System Foundation Appreciation Angel campaign is now underway. For a donation of $3 an angel, participants can send a chocolate angel thank you from Barkus Chocolates to someone special at the hospital or outside of the hospital.
“It’s the same chocolate that we had during Caring Angels,” Foundation Executive Director Kris Bowser explains. “It’s just wrapped a little different and had a nice label on it. And when you order it, tell us the ‘to and from’ for you or you can just order a quantity so we’ll just get that all ready and placed in a bag. Then we’ll have a contactless pickup for the community.”
The deadline to order is Tuesday, February 9th and the angels will be delivered the week of February 8th. Proceeds from this program will benefit the BHS Foundation’s Caring Angel Program.
“It’s for children, youth, and their families in Butler County. It’s going in to helping children in the emergency department to help pay for medical care,” Bowser said. “And it’s also for the family services for Butler Health System that offers many programs and services for families like counseling to help children and their families.”
