Butler Health System is continuing to test and care for those dealing with COVID-19.
As of 10 a.m. Monday, over 900 tests had been performed by BHS including over 600 at the outdoor facility by the hospital. The latest numbers from the Pennsylvanian Department of Health show that Butler County currently has 49 confirmed cases of the coronavirus. Results from other administered tests have not yet been received.
A total of 11 patients are currently in Butler Memorial Hospital with five confirmed coronavirus case and six suspected. This includes four patients currently in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU).
In addition, Clarion Hospital has admitted four patients with two in their ICU including one with confirmed infection of COVID-19. Donations of personal protective equipment will continue to be accepted but current supply availability remains adequate.
