A Butler man is facing charges after he allegedly burglarized a police officer’s home in Lawrence County.
Our news partners at WPXI report that the incident happened Wednesday night in Bessemer Borough.
Police say 33-year-old Evan Degaton broke into a house, which belonged to a police officer. The officer tried to place Degaton under arrest, but the suspect was actively fighting back.
On-duty police officers were called to the scene and he was taken into custody.
On the way back to the police station, Degaton allegedly spit on the officers.
He’s facing numerous charges including aggravated assault.
