A Butler man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after it’s alleged the man head butted a police officer while being arraigned.
Saturday morning, Police were called to the 300 block of North Washington Street for a man walking around with a plank. The man was eventually identified at the Dunkin Donuts on Main Street.
When police contacted the man, he denied providing his information and was acting erotically so he was taken into custody. Police then took the man, identified as 43-year-old Mitchell Dongilli, back to North Washington Street where the plank and alleged methenamines were identified on the scene.
That is when police took Dongilli to a holding cell for public drunkenness and prepared to transfer him to the Butler County Prison. While being transferred it’s alleged Dongilli headbutted an officer. He was then placed back in the holding cell for further charges.
Dongilli was charged with public drunkenness and felony two aggravated assault. He’s being held on $75,000 bail in the Butler County Prison.
