A man is facing attempted homicide charges after a Christmas Eve shooting in Butler Township.
On Tuesday, just after 10 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of Crosslands Road for a shooting. Police arrived and found a 27-year-old man lying on the ground. He was shot in the groin and was taken to the hospital.
The victim told police his brother, 22-year-old Logan Rapsinski of Butler, loaded a round and shot him.
Rapsinski was taken into custody not long after the shooting.
The victim was taken to Allegheny General Hospital and now is in stable condition.
Rapsinski is being held in the Butler County Prison and has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment.
Butler Township Police said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
