Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry announced arrests and charges late last week for five Pennsylvania men accused of sexual abuse of children.
One of those men was 45-year-old Shaun Sheffer of Butler County. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old family member when left alone with the child.
Due to the closeness of their relationship Sheffer was able to get long periods alone with the child. During that time, he would allegedly abuse the child.
Sheffer has been charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, and corruption of minors.
