A local man died late last week in a fatal crash in northern Butler County.
22-year-old Shane Fitzpatrick of Butler was driving east on Route 58 (Eau Claire Road) in Venango Township Friday evening around 7:45 p.m.
Police say he was speeding and lost control of his car. He went off the road and struck two trees.
Fitzpatrick was pronounced dead on the scene.
