The man accused of threatening federal officials including President Donald Trump has pled guilty in federal court.
According to the Department of Justice, 33-year-old Shawn Monper of Butler entered a guilty plea to two counts of making threats to assault and murder President Donald J. Trump, other United States officials, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Monper was taken into custody approximately one year ago at a home on Morton Avenue. The FBI was assisted by the Butler Township Police in this investigation.
Sentencing will take place August 12th. He could receive up to 10 years in prison or be fined up to $250,000 or both on each count.
