He’s been seen on CNN, CBS, and other national outlets discussing the latest about the pandemic.
And he might be a familiar face, considering he grew up in Butler.
Dr. Amesh Adalja is a senior scholar at Johns Hopkins University and specializes in infectious diseases. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, he’s been a reliable voice for news outlets providing his analysis on the current state of the epidemic. In between his conversations, he also continues to work at Butler Health System and Pittsburgh area hospitals.
Dr. Adalja grew up in Butler Township before moving with his parents to Franklin Township. He attended grade school at Butler Catholic, before moving onto Butler High School where he graduated in 1993.
Dr. Adalja joined the WISR Morning Show on Tuesday to talk about his childhood in Butler and the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic.
