A member of the Butler Area School Board has resigned from his position for unspecified personal reasons.
Regenold Griffin had been a Butler School Board Director since he took over Tom Harrison’s term in July of last year.
After some discussion about offering the position to the leading vote-getter in next month’s primary election, the board decided to accept letters of interest as they have with openings in the past. The deadline for submitting a letter is May 18th with a decision expected to be made at the board’s May 22nd meeting.
The remainder of Griffin’s term runs until the beginning of December.
