The Butler Area School District School Board expressed gratitude to Superintendent Dr. Brian White through a commendation resolution.
Board president Jennifer Cummings presented White with a framed copy of the commendation to express the board’s appreciation.
“To Dr. White for his exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment to innovation, and profound dedication to the students, faculty, and staff of the Butler Area School District,” Cummings said.
Even though he was not expecting the recognition, White made sure to give credit to the administrators and other district employees he works with on a daily basis.
“This is flattering, but I’m only as good as the team around me. I really appreciate the board’s willingness to let us have the team we have. [The board] has never really meddled with the hiring process,” White said. “I cant’ recall a time where didn’t let us go after the best person.”
The commendation specifically mentions Dr. White’s unwavering dedication, innovative leadership, exceptional ability to engage, visionary approach, commitment to preparation, and proactive stance on student safety.
