Butler Area School District is investigating the possibility of making changes to the Football Annex facility.
At their meeting earlier this week, Superintendent Dr. Brian White informed the board about the approximately 30-year-old facility that is “not meeting expectations or needs”.
In addition to a roof in need of replacement, showers are leaking to lower levels, air exchanges are insufficient, and locker rooms are limited in size, privacy, and security.
In response, the Butler School Board approved an agreement with Tower Engineering in the amount of $9,000 for an assessment of the facility. An additional agreement was reached with Tower Engineering also in the amount of $9,000 to complete a study of the high school gym ductwork and AC. Information will be presented later this year.
