At least one person was seriously injured as a result of an accident Monday afternoon in Butler Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just before 1:30 p.m. for a two-vehicle crash in the 100 block of Whitestown Road near the Lyndora Post Office.
Crews from Butler Township were among those arriving on scene to find a female with a head injury after being struck while attempting to exit her vehicle. Another motorist needed attention for a neck injury.
LifeFlight was requested to land at the Butler Memorial Hospital helipad where one person was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for additional treatment.
