The Butler boys and girls track and field teams swept their way into the WPIAL Team championship finals. The Butler boys swept Kiski Area, Moon and Penn-Trafford in the semifinal meet they hosted yesterday. The Butler girls had a dominating sweep of Beaver, Belle Vernon, Kiski Area and Moon during their meet.
A school record was set in the boys 4×100 relay…..the Butler relay team was made of Logan Ekas, Kevin Shriver, Grayden Brown and Chris Rubcic. This record stood since 1999 , that relay was Keith Kozic, Josh Dumbaugh, Matt Rippin and Nick Chippini.
The North Catholic boys tennis team defeated Winchester Thurston 4-1 in the WPIAL Class 2A quarterfinals. The Trojans will meet South Park in the semifinals Monday.
