The Butler Transit Authority is revising their commuter bus service to Pittsburgh.
Beginning January 2nd, the authority will run two separate routes to and from Pittsburgh Monday through Friday.
Route 1 will leave downtown Butler at 5:40 a.m. and travel Route 8 to Route 228, stopping at Twelve Oaks Mansion before heading down Interstate 79 to 279 into Pittsburgh. The final stop for this bus will be the Convention Center, not the Allegheny T-station as originally planned.
Route 2 will follow Route 8 all the way to Route 28 before also ending up at the Convention Center. This bus will make a stop at the Duncan Avenue Park and Ride in Hampton Township.
Butler County Commissioners will be riding the bus Thursday morning to speak with commuters about concerns and possible additional modifications to the service.
