The doors open for the annual Butler Turkey Day Feast later today.
The annual event serves Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
The meals are offered in-person, to-go, or delivered. While it’s too late to get a meal delivered, the in-person dinner runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Butler Global Church, which is at the corner of North and McKean Streets.
Organizers are expecting a larger turnout this year, with some still feeling the impact of SNAP benefits and the rising costs of food.
