Bids have been awarded for the next phase of the Butler Township recreation facility project at the Pullman Business Park.
Monday night the Township Commissioners awarded five contracts totaling nearly $1.8 million as part of construction of a concession and restroom building along with a parking lot and pads for bleachers.
Site construction work outside of the building will be performed by W.K. Thomas and Associates at a cost of nearly $460,000. TBI Contracting will take care of building construction for $734,000. Electrical work was awarded to Right Electric for nearly $400,000. Newman Plumbing will receive nearly $165,000 to do all the plumbing work on the project. Finally, HVAC construction will go to Central Heating and Plumbing for just over $37,000.
That project is expected to be finished sometime on or around September 1st.
