The Butler Township Commissioners have approved of a plan to renovate a commercially-zoned property in order to house several Butler County services.
Butler County is preparing a project to improve three and a half acres on North Duffy Road, formerly Butler Health and Fitness Club, to house the Area Agency on Aging and new Senior Center. These services are currently located on the Sunnyview property.
Land development improvements planned for the property include a completely restored parking lot, replacement of stormwater piping, new gas and water hookups, replacement of steps and a ramp, and the addition of an emergency generator.
Developers are still working on the interior design of the over 13,000 structure and then the project will be put out to bid. Construction is expected to begin in the spring.
