Butler Township has decided to move forward with trick or treat this year with other municipalities expected to make decisions soon.
At their meeting earlier this week, Butler Township Commissioners approved a motion to permit children and families to trick or treat at township residences on Saturday, October 31st from 6 to 7 p.m.
Butler Township asks parents or guardians to encourage children to trick or treat responsibly. Residents who would like to participate are encouraged to turn on porch lights or outside lights to signal that trick or treaters are welcome to approach.
Butler City Council is expected to announce their intentions at their online meeting later tonight and Center Township is likely to coordinate their decision with their neighboring municipalities.
