Butler Township is advancing a project to make improvements at Preston Park.
At their meeting Monday night, Commissioners awarded a contract to Gregor Contracting out of Renfrew who submitted the lowest bid out of the five received at just over $440,000.
This project involves a new portion of the road at Preston Park including 67 parking spaces as well as providing public water and sewer service to new restroom facilities. Gateway Engineers is administering the project for Butler Township.
This work is expected to be completed in about two months. The entire project is expected to cost about $885,000 and wrap up some time in September.
