Butler Township’s 2023 budget will be balanced using existing anticipated revenue for the 12th year in a row.
Township commissioners approved a preliminary budget of just over $9.4 million during their meeting Monday night.
This figure represents an increase of about $1.4 million which includes about $1 million in pass-through money from the capital reserve fund for projects like road resurfacing and storm water improvements.
Other budgetary expenses include two new police vehicles, as well as two pickup trucks for use by the road and parks departments. The costs of many items and utilities have continued to increase this year.
The commissioners will vote to finalize this plan for 2023 next month.
