The Butler boys volleyball team reached the Class 3A state semifinals following a 3-1 win over Neshaminy Saturday in Bellefonte. The Golden Tornado will meet WPIAL champion North Allegheny Tuesday. The Tigers shutout State College 3-0 Saturday.
–The Mars boys lacrosse team has reached the state Class 2A semifinals following a 10-8 win over Upper Dublin Saturday in Mechanicsburg. The Planets will meet Lampeter-Strasburg Tuesday. Lampeter-Strasburg edged South Fayette 11-10 in overtime in their quarterfinal game Saturday.
–The Mars girls fell 13-6 to West Chester Rustin the state quarterfinals Saturday.
