A jury found a Cabot man guilty for sexually assaulting a minor in 2023 earlier this week.
Charges were first filed against 50-year-old Michael Saunders in October 2024 but charges were later dropped, only to be refiled in October 2025. On Tuesday, Saunders was found guilty of sexually assaulting a then 12-year-old.
The one-day trial saw Saunders being found guilty on the charges of corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person less than 16-years-old.
A sentencing date has not been scheduled and Saunders faces up to nine years in prison.
