A California man is being held in the Butler County Prison after he allegedly strangled a woman in Cranberry Township.
Police were called to the Sheetz near Route 228 last Wednesday for a domestic incident.
When police arrived on scene, the victim said she and 19-year-old Sky Xiong had gotten into an argument. During the argument, police say Xiong threatened to hurt himself with a knife, held the knife to the victim, and kicked and strangled the victim.
He has been charged with strangulation, terroristic threats, and simple assault. Xiong is being held in the Butler County Prison on $80,000 as he awaits a preliminary hearing on August 29.
