Australian Cameron Smith shot a 64 Sunday to win The Open at St. Andrews in Scotland. Smith had five consecutive birdies on the back nine to take the lead from Rory McIlroy and ended with the best closing round at the Old Course in the history of the event. Smith had a pair of 64’s in his four-day performance. McIlroy hit every green in regulation yesterday, but couldn’t sink several birdie putts and finished third, two-strokes behind Smith.
