Butler residents were looking forward to enjoying abundant sunshine yesterday—but there was a haze in the area instead.
Meteorologists say it was because of wildfires in Canada. The smoke plumes are coming from a series of fires in Alberta, Canada and the jet stream blew the smoke into our region.
Officials say that the smoke is high and thin, and that there is no air quality concern.
The smoke is expected to continue to push east today and won’t be as abundant.
