A pedestrian in Connoquenessing Township was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle late this morning.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 11:30 a.m. for the incident in the 100 block of Lower Harmony Road.
Crews from Connoquenessing, Prospect, the Butler VA, and Harmony EMS were dispatched to find a male in his 60s on the ground and not breathing. He was also found to have deformities of his arms and legs as well as no pulse.
An aircraft was put on standby but not dispatched as emergency responders found the man in cardiac arrest. The road in that area is expected to be closed for an extended period of time.
