Senator Bob Casey is proposing legislation that would prevent employers from using artificial intelligence to manage workers.
The No Robot Bosses Act would stop corporations from using automated decision systems and algorithms for hiring or firing workers.
This legislation responds to increasing reports of employers exclusively using artificial intelligence in order to take disciplinary actions against employees without the involvement of a human being.
Casey was joined in this effort by Pennsylvania’s other Senator, John Fetterman, as well as Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
