Students in Catholic schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh will be required to wear masks to begin the year.
Diocese officials made the announcement yesterday, saying that their goal is to keep schools open five-days-a-week and believe masking will help make that possible.
Locally, this will impact Butler Catholic School, St. Wendelin, and Holy Sepulchur, along with North Catholic High School.
The Diocese says they will re-evaluate the decision in late September.
