As we look at colder weather this week, state officials are reminding drivers to use extra caution as Winter Driving Awareness Week begins.
Half-a-million crashes and more than 2,000 deaths happen during the colder months from bad weather and roads.
Officials with AAA and PennDOT recommend drivers test your car battery, inspect tires and replace worn windshield wiper blades.
Other recommendations include not using cruise control, slowing down, not tailgating and turning against the skid if you slide.
