Butler County formally entered into an agreement with the Center for Community Resources to continue to serve as the call center for vaccine scheduling.
The agreement will pay CCR up to $300,000 to operate the center with the funds coming from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Association.
The organization took over for the Area Agency on Aging a few weeks ago to help those without access to the internet get an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
So far, more than 1,500 people have used the service. Residents 65 and older who are eligible for the COVID vaccine can call 1-88-550-7468 to schedule an appointment.
