Beginning today, older residents without computer access who need help scheduling a vaccination at Butler Memorial Hospital should contact a different organization.
According to Butler Health System, people age 65 and older who are interested in getting the vaccine for COVID-19 should now call the Butler County Center for Community Resources.
The center can be reached between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. by calling 1-888-550-7468. The Butler Area Agency on Aging which had been assisting residents will no longer be scheduling vaccines.
The state Department of Health is continuing to modify distribution procedures so vaccine supply and availability remain unpredictable. More vaccine information can be found on the website of the Butler Health System.
