As local school districts figure out how to safely plan for the start of the year, there’s been more direction issued by the Centers for Disease Control.
The CDC says that vaccinated students and teachers do not have to wear masks.
However, the agency is recommending that district do not mandate vaccines for students and teachers.
The guidance is similar to what local districts have planned. So far, districts like Butler and South Butler have announced that masks will not be mandatory this fall.
