Central Electric Cooperative is offering members another option to report outages.
CEC is encouraging members to sign up with the web and mobile app called SmartHub which can allow members to text the word “OUT” to report an outage as well as pay bills and manage electricity use.
Once members provide the CEC with up to date contact information and register a SmartHub account, the service will distribute specific outage notification texts and emails.
CEC members who currently have a SmartHub account should verify all account and contact information then sign up for the notifications. More information can be found on the CEC website.
