Center Township Elementary School students have been moved as a result of a power outage Thursday.
According to a letter posted to the district’s website by Superintendent Dr. Brian White, students were transported by bus to the Intermediate High School around 11:30 a.m.
The decision was made to move the students since the partial power outage left school administrators unable to provide heat or lunch for the students. Students were fed lunch at the Intermediate and participated in various educational activities. Some gifted students from other elementary schools who were at Center Township Thursday have been taken back to their original school.
Bus students will be dismissed from the Intermediate at the end of the day while students already scheduled for parent pickup will be transported back to Center Township for dismissal.
